Auction House in Orgrimmar

Do you play World of Warcraft? Do you want to make more gold? This article will show you the honest ways to make gold in World of Warcraft. I strongly advise you to NOT visit any gold selling sites. Not only is it dangerous, it's also ban-able.

Questing & Looting

The one thing you'll do the most in the game - completing quests and looting kills. Every quest you accept and complete will reward you a set amount of in-game money. Levels 1-60 reward mostly silver, level 60-70 reward silver and some gold, however, levels 70-80 in Northrend will yield you the most gold.

Many mob kills will drop some money. Humanoids are guaranteed to drop money so when starting out, killing many of these will help you earn more money for training, buying bag-space or buying gear.

Once you reach level 80, depending on the prerequisite quest lines you have completed, daily quests will open up for you. These quests are generally repeatable, but can only be done once a day. They yield higher gold rewards, plus reputation and sometimes a chance to land a fantastic reward such as a new mount!

Professions & The Auction House

There are many professions in World of Warcraft. However, you may only train two at a time. For the purpose of this article, I will tell you of only the best professions for making gold. Mining, skinning and herbalism are gathering professions. Selling what you gather and do not use on the Auction House can be a promising gold-maker. I will write a future article on using the Auction House (AH) in WoW. Jewelcrafting, enchanting and engineering can make you gold by providing services to other players. Don't be greedy! Accepting optional tips and always answering players looking for your services can build a positive reputation on your server! You can also make bags with tailoring or make potions and elixirs with alchemy to sell on the AH.
